The Master of the Cosmic Cycle
I have studied under the masters at the monastery, to learn how to focus my mind, body and spirit in order to channel my energies into focused and deadly motion, and this has lead me to feel the pull of the Sun, Moon and Stars on the Arcane energies flowing through me. With much meditation and contemplation I have learned to focus this arcane energy flowing through me from the cosmos. Perhaps if you listen to all your senses, you may be able to learn to focus these energies as well.
Build Goal: To creat a character that starts out primarily as a Monk, and ends up as primarily a Sorcerer, that is augmented with the monks unarmered defence bonuses and some select monk mobilty and defences, and stances for increased survivability. The character however needs to be playable from the beginning of the Heroic tier all the way through the Epic tier. The character as I see him would be wielding a pair of Sai ( Reflavored Daggers/ Parrying Daggers/ Superior Implement Daggers).

Sorcerer At-will Attack 1: Blazing Starfall (AP) - (mediocre at low level, but at 8-10 level when your damage modifiers make the difference between its 1d4 and other damage dice less significant, and its Burst 1 multi-target becomes one of the best choices for any Sorcerer build)
Monk At-will Attack 1: Fallen Needle (D#389) - (attacks reflex, gives good damage, and gives a -2 penalty to attack you, a nice attack that blends offense and defense nicely. In addition, the Movement Technique is very flexible and useful as monks don't have much pressure on their minor actions.)
Sorcerer At-will Attack 1: Ensorcelled Blade (D#390) - (Having a decent Melee Basic attack lets you charge and make opportunity attacks, and it also protects you on the front lines by giving your enemy a disincentive from attacking you.)
Monk Encounter Attack 1: Drunken Monkey (PHB3)(targets will, and causes the target to attack an enemy (including itself) with your wisdom as a bonus. This means it is powerful and highly accurate, and if the target is marked by a damaging defender, the attack will also kick in the defender's punishment.)
Monk Daily Attack 1: Masterful Spiral (PHB3) - (a close burst 2 that targets reflex for solid damage, meaning you should be able to target most of the enemies you're fighting for some solid damage. As an area attack, it ignores marks and all concealment. Puts you in a stance that gives +1 to you melee reach, this will affect all your single target powers, but not Flurry of Blows or you area powers.

Discussion: Some significant changes aoccure here at this level, we pick up our first magic items, with the Robe of Eyes we can not be blinded and get a bonus to our perception checks, always handy, and with the Vicous Dagger +1 we getsome ofthe best crit damage you'll find for your implements. With how often you'll be critting (due to making lots of attack rolls), you'll get lots of mileage from this. It makes your crits, which are normally not that impressive, a thing of beauty.
And with our new power Deep shroud we get some auto concealment that works for the hole party. We also swapped out the dagger in our offhand for a parrying dagger, which will gant us a further +1 bonus to AC, and we will save some gold for future item purchases.

Discussion: Another good level, here we pick up a minor action encounter power that give our daggers some lightning damage. We also get another improvement to both our Reflex and AC defences from the offhand property bonus on our Rhythme Blade Parrying Dagger, for an AC of 22, not bad for cloth.
We also improve our other defences (Fort/Ref/Will) by +1, and gain the daily (no action) ability of adding a d6 roll to a missed Attack roll or a failed Ability/ Skill checks or a Saving Throw, to see if the adjusted roll now succeeds.

This is a good level for your offence in the form a pretty hefty out of turn attack. We lose a point of AC and gain a point of Damage with the addition of an offhand Accurate Implement, from Dual Implement Spellcaster feat, on Arcane attacks, by trading our Rhythm Blade Parrying Dagger for an Rhythm Blade Accurate Dagger +1. We also get a +2 bonus to all defences, from the Centered Defence Utility Stance which should be good if used before a big multi-target daily and then going to town. With the addition of the a Siberys Shard of the Mage to the Mainhand and Offhand dagger Implements there is an addition +2 bonus to damage from the dual arcane implements. We also retrain the Parrying Dagger Proficiency to Versatile Expertise, for a +1 Feat bonus to attack rolls with Daggers and Ki Focus, just a little accuracy boost.

Discussion:: This level brings in your first power-swap, we drop Drunken Monkey and pick up the Furious Bull encounter power, a party-friendly close burst 2 with a daze and a slide, with an effect shift. It’s Movement Technique gives the ability to move through enemy’s spaces, which can be used to make the backline unable to move away, and make the front line unable to attack you (if they lack reach). The only downside is that it attacks fortitude. And last but not least the always-welcome mainhand weapon upgrade.

Discussion: We have a big level here with improvements our abilities, attacks, saves and checks. We also pick up the Starblade Flurry Feat, which is the best striker and control feat monks have to offer. It gives you an additional FoB target that can be up to 5 squares away. Also, you don’t need to wield a dagger, only hold a dagger in the off-hand, we can use this to slide enemies into bad spots and suck additional targets into burst range. I have studied under the masters at the monastery, to learn how to focus my mind, body and spirit in order to channel my energies into focused and deadly motion, and this has lead me to feel the pull of the Sun, Moon and Stars on the Arcane energies flowing through me. Perhaps if you listen to all your senses, you may be able to learn to focus these energies as well.
Build Goal: To creat a character that starts out primarily as a Monk, and ends up as primarily a Sorcerer, that is augmented with the monks unarmered defence bonuses and some select monk mobilty and defences, and stances for increased survivability. The character however needs to be playable from the beginning of the Heroic tier all the way through the Epic tier. The character as I see him would be wielding a pair of Sai ( Reflavored Daggers/ Parrying Daggers/ Superior Implement Daggers).

Sorcerer At-will Attack 1: Blazing Starfall (AP) - (mediocre at low level, but at 8-10 level when your damage modifiers make the difference between its 1d4 and other damage dice less significant, and its Burst 1 multi-target becomes one of the best choices for any Sorcerer build)
Monk At-will Attack 1: Fallen Needle (D#389) - (attacks reflex, gives good damage, and gives a -2 penalty to attack you, a nice attack that blends offense and defense nicely. In addition, the Movement Technique is very flexible and useful as monks don't have much pressure on their minor actions.)
Sorcerer At-will Attack 1: Ensorcelled Blade (D#390) - (Having a decent Melee Basic attack lets you charge and make opportunity attacks, and it also protects you on the front lines by giving your enemy a disincentive from attacking you.)
Monk Encounter Attack 1: Drunken Monkey (PHB3)(targets will, and causes the target to attack an enemy (including itself) with your wisdom as a bonus. This means it is powerful and highly accurate, and if the target is marked by a damaging defender, the attack will also kick in the defender's punishment.)
Monk Daily Attack 1: Masterful Spiral (PHB3) - (a close burst 2 that targets reflex for solid damage, meaning you should be able to target most of the enemies you're fighting for some solid damage. As an area attack, it ignores marks and all concealment. Puts you in a stance that gives +1 to you melee reach, this will affect all your single target powers, but not Flurry of Blows or you area powers.

Discussion: Some significant changes aoccure here at this level, we pick up our first magic items, with the Robe of Eyes we can not be blinded and get a bonus to our perception checks, always handy, and with the Vicous Dagger +1 we getsome ofthe best crit damage you'll find for your implements. With how often you'll be critting (due to making lots of attack rolls), you'll get lots of mileage from this. It makes your crits, which are normally not that impressive, a thing of beauty.
And with our new power Deep shroud we get some auto concealment that works for the hole party. We also swapped out the dagger in our offhand for a parrying dagger, which will gant us a further +1 bonus to AC, and we will save some gold for future item purchases.

Discussion: Another good level, here we pick up a minor action encounter power that give our daggers some lightning damage. We also get another improvement to both our Reflex and AC defences from the offhand property bonus on our Rhythme Blade Parrying Dagger, for an AC of 22, not bad for cloth.
We also improve our other defences (Fort/Ref/Will) by +1, and gain the daily (no action) ability of adding a d6 roll to a missed Attack roll or a failed Ability/ Skill checks or a Saving Throw, to see if the adjusted roll now succeeds.

We lose a point of AC and gain a point of Damage with the addition of an offhand Accurate Implement, from Dual Implement Spellcaster feat, on Arcane attacks, by trading our Rhythm Blade Parrying Dagger for an Rhythm Blade Accurate Dagger +1. We also get a +2 bonus to all defences, from the Centered Defence Utility Stance which should be good if used before a big multi-target daily and then going to town. With the addition of the a Siberys Shard of the Mage to the Mainhand and Offhand dagger Implements there is an addition +2 bonus to damage from the dual arcane implements. On the Item front we pick up the circlet of mental onslaught for a static,Will defensive bonus and a powerful daily power that as a minor grants a +1 power bonus to attack rolls using Int, Wis or Cha for the encounter. Discussion:: This level brings in your first power-swap, we drop Drunken Monkey and pick up the Furious Bull encounter power, a party-friendly close burst 2 with a daze and a slide, with an effect shift. It’s Movement Technique gives the ability to move through enemy’s spaces, which can be used to make the backline unable to move away, and make the front line unable to attack you (if they lack reach). Discussion: We have a big level here with improvements our abilities, attacks, saves and checks. Discussion: We pick up a close burst 1 for low damage that dazes (save ends) regardless of whether you hit in the Mithral Tornado power. You then move you speed and do a similar attack (remember that everyone adjacent is dazed, so no OAs from them) that does low damage and dazes (save ends) if you hit.
