I replaced my laptop. All of my files are currently on my external hard drive, including downloaded character sheets and images for my PbP games. I'll be porting over files to the new laptop and dealing with other vagaries connected to the hardware upgrade over the course of the next couple weeks, probably.

What's the upshot for you? Things won't look as pretty for a while, maybe. And some of my time that had been devoted to gaming will be occupied by tech. Other than that, not much.

Now's a good time in the IC for me to mention that Marks held your hand this mission but won't accompany the group on subsequent missions. So if anyone wants to take a look at their level-up skills and re-assign skill points to accommodate the group's need for things like a driver or a combat medic, etc., now's the time to do that. Marks will remain (mostly) available to the group but henceforth will stay home in the batcave to maintain the status quo and serve as secondary support.

Hey, when Marks was asking Death Otter what it would take to wipe the CCTV, was he talking about the toy store's security camera? Or the traffic cameras?

Marks was thinking of the store's CCTV. He was hoping Otter might know how to hack into the store's or the company's server and erase the video. He may have overestimated the store's tech; not all retail stores have upgraded from analog security cameras.

I'd be more worried about all the DNA JR left all over the store. He was in the military, so he's likely to be in a few databases. Not to mention the fact we're all criminals, so probably in CODIS too.

ETA: I was going to say: well, I know that, but Cyril wouldn't... then realized I am playing a lawyer who specializes in criminal defense (& personal injury). Of course he would know that, guess I should say something IC about that.
