Guys, I'm clarifying something I should have clarified a while back. My expectation for players' posting rate for this game is that at a minimum you will post once per day on a Monday through Friday basis. If you are able to post more regularly or on weekends, you are welcome but not required to do so. If you need to be away from the site, no problem. Please take care of yourselves, your work, and your family and friends, putting them first over gaming. If you know you'll be away or that your posting will be slowed, drop me a line via PM or post here. Players are additionally welcome to contact to me to ask about taking a sabbatical; I've had players in the past who dropped out for a few months, then returned. I can, and will, make reasonable accommodation.

That said, my usual tactic if someone seems to be having difficulty keeping up with posting is to message them privately and inquire. If posting remains slow after that, I reserve the right to remove your character from the game. Slow or nonexistent posting without notice to the group is inconsiderate to the group as a whole, and I've seen it kill a game.

Understood.

So...can anyone actually use this knife Otter ordered?

She's got a Str penalty so she's not the best choice. Also, she's too genre-savvy to charge a tentacle monster. :)

T-dawg probably *can* use the knife somewhat effectively (I imagine it's a simple weapon, so he is proficient and has a Str bonus)... but he isn't going to without a compelling reason (like his hands being ineffective against it). His first instinct is to use his hands.
:)

lol...now Otter wants to show T-dawg how to use that knife!

...in fact...yeah. It's stuck in a toilet. She's enough of a douche to try to go all mental on it when it seems like it's at a disadvantage. Hee hee.

OK, here's what the RTF file from WotC has for Daze:

Target: One person;
This power clouds the mind of a Medium-size or smaller target so that he or she takes no actions. Creatures of 5 or more HD or levels are not affected. The dazed subject is not stunned (so attackers get no special advantage against him or her), but the subject can’t move or take actions.

I pulled the Creature Types document as well, but it doesn't list Persons as a type, just humanoids (and monstrous humanoids as well). Ultimately, it's up to you. I couldn't find anything to clarify when I looked online.
