D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

I'm Roscoe, a hunter from the tribes of my kin to the north.

I'm hunting a horrible beast that is hiding in this place. It killed some of my tribe members.

Guran finds irregular grooves etched in the stone and masonry both when he uses his trowel to scrape away the mud on the wall just a bit south of the door through which the group exited Room 5. There is, however, no indication of a frieze, artwork, or other markings on the wall. Four 1/4"-inch deep irregular groove marks run parallel to one another for roughly 18" on the lower third of the wall. The layer of mud partially obscures the grooves, but they stand out clearly once Guran scrapes away the detritus.

OOC: A character who hasn't yet done so since the group first encountered these kinds of irregular grooves may make an Intelligence (Nature) check. I believe this is Roscoe and Father Spec? For ease of reference, the north-south corridor in which the group presently stands shall henceforth be known as Corridor A. The northernmost hallway is Hallway A. The southern hallway that the group recently discovered is Hallway B.

For now, Corridor A and both Hallways A and B seem to be quiet.

Impressed with Roscoe's evident dedication to his pursuit, Father Spec nods, and proceeds to examine the grooves, running his fingers along them. He pauses, "Hmm."

Turning to the others, he asks, "Well, which way, chaps?"

"Let's clear the southern hallway on our way west. Guran, are you going to lead the way?" Fulgrim noted Father Spec's studied ways and nodded in approval.

OOC: I figure we head west along Hallway B to the next room. I'm currently not showing an eastern door to that room on the map, but we may just have not had a sight line to it yet. If there isn't one, we should probably search for a secret door there.

"Sounds good," the shorter dwarf replies. He turns to the south and leads the group into the southern hallway ("hallway B"), heading west and searching for doors.

OOC: Search is WIS (Perception), right?

There are no doors on the southern side of Hallway B, but by the time Guran and Company walk the length of the hallway and stop in front of a door inset into the northern side of the hallway, Guran can see the whole length and breadth of the hallway.

For starters, the group passes by a ten-foot wide corridor (Corridor B) that most of you previously had seen when you entered Stonefast. The corridor runs 15' to the north and dumps out by the antechamber. As expected, there are two doors in the middle of Corridor B; one door on the west and one door on the east (that, by the look of it, probably leads to Room 5).

There is a door on the northern side of Hallway B. This door is centered along an expanse of wall that appears to be a mirror of Room 5. Additionally, there is another door on the northern side of Hallway B, but it's at the far western end of the hallway. Both doors are closed. The hallway is pitch black, save for Guran's torchlight. And it's certainly quiet; the dark presses on all sides. Not even the sound of dripping water resounds in the permanent night of the dungeon.

In addition to the two doors on the northern side of Hallway B, there seem to be three new north-south corridors that branch off the hallway. The first is yet another ten-foot-wide corridor (Corridor C). Assuming the group stops in front of the first door it comes to (the door on the north side of Hallway B that looks like it may lead to a mirror image of Room 5), everyone in the group can see that Corridor C appears to start at the western edge of the new room. None of you can see up Corridor C from your current position.

There are two other corridors branching off Hallway B, and both of them head to the south. The first of these (Corridor D) appears to Guran's eye to be 5' wide and is located roughly 30' from your current position. The second (Corridor E) is situated at the very far end of Hallway B and is also 5' wide. Just how far either of these corridors stretch isn't something any of you detect from where you currently stand.
