An irritated Colden swung at the kobold crossbowman, connecting and dealing 8 points of damage. The kobold, sliced nearly in twain, fell dead to the floor.

Out of weapons and facing a clearly superior foe in the dwarf mage, Orc 2 turned and fled.

OOC: Orc 2 disengages. You're both up, tuxgeo and Kobold Stew.

Guran says to the others, "That resolved quickly. A moment, please, while I go get my axes."

The dwarf rogue retrieves the two handaxes he threw: the one that lodged in the wall of the spider's room, and the one that lodged in the face of Orc1. Guran takes his torch with him when he goes.

While in the spider's room, Guran looks around by torchlight to see whether there is any indication of possible loot there.

Guran collected both his handaxes. With Roscoe in the hallway with his lit short sword, Colden and Spec were still able to see well even though the torch went with Guran. When Guran entered the room with the spider corpse, he had to climb over the beast's hulking body to get to his axe that clanked against the southern wall and fell to the floor; the spider lay mostly on top of it. The job was messy; a thick mass of webbing fills the southwestern quarter of the room. Guran spies part of what looks like a coil of decent-quality rope, and a few coins glinted in his torchlight. He could either wade through the webbing, or attempt to burn or slice it off.

Guran looks at the hint of treasure behind the webbing, then leaves the room and asks his companions what to do. As part of that inquiry, he asks Fulgrim whether Fulgrim has specific magic to tear webbing without touching it.

Fulgrim is busy firing a bolt of fire at the last fleeing orc that the rest of the party seemed to have forgotten about.

Spec is unaware of the fleeing Orc (it has always been around corners from him, but he is intrigued by the open passage in the ceiling. He casts a light cantrip on the end of his mace, and reaches it up ito the roof, to see if it helps him see anything up there.

If it does, he asks for a boost up.

If it does not, he'll go back to the spider room, to help there with the web-burning.

Colden draws his hammer and rushes over to where Fulgrim stood. His blood was still up and he had a thirst for blood. He rounds the corner intent on pursuit.

Guran left the spider room to consult with his colleagues, but found that Colden was haring off down the hall toward Fulgrim, who stood in the far western end of the hallway casting a cantrip at something down another corridor that was out of Guran's sight.

Spec cast light on his mace--simultaneously snuffing the magical light on Roscoe's short sword--and stuck his mace up inside the hole in the ceiling. The interior of the ceiling looked to be hewn stone, rough, but smooth enough to traverse with minimal discomfort. Spec spied a tunnel in the ceiling that headed due east.

Fulgrim shot a fire bolt at the fleeing orc, but missed. The orc rounded the southernmost corner of the corridor and tucked out of sight.

OOC: END OF INITIATIVE. Well done, all. Please post at will.

"Blast!" Fulgrim cursed as his fire bolt went wide. He examined his fingertips to make sure they weren't out of alignment. He wasn't doing a very good job aiming lately.
