[CC II] Temporary HP question

HI,

The Bloodman listed in Creature Collection II can
accumulate extra temporary hps through its Steal Blood
Supernatural ability.

My question is how long do these temporary Hps last? Are
they consumed slowly by the bloodman in order to prolong
it's life?

Does 5 temporary Hps per day sound about right (its a 5HD monster)? or is there a rule that I cannot find that says how long all temporary hps last?

Well, I have done some further digging around and can't find an answer to this question...

Never mind, I have come up with an in game limitation on the whole thing.

The Bloodman in my campaign is actually the spirit of a dead mage who inhabits the items that he has created. Those items have been corrupted with demonic blood that forces the spirit to manifest as a bloodman. The spirit can re-enter the items it created and any extra hps that the bloodman has will be left behind in the form of bloodstains on and around the items...

seeing as these items are things that are worn by a innocent party, and the Bloodman will only manifest when the PC party are sleeping, chances are that they will get blamed for the crimes that the Bloodman commits...
