Celestial "Protective Aura" question

Does the protective aura of a celestial eminate as per magic circle from a specific point made by the celestial or does it always center on the celestial? Or.. does it simply function as the benefits of the magic circle and lesser globe without actually being these globes?

yeargh!

The magic circle spells don't emanate from a point. They are centered on a creature, so they move where the target does. The spell statblock lists its Area as "10-ft.-radius emanation from touched creature."

In the case of celestials, the protective aura is always centered on the celestial himself-- he cannot transfer the effect to someone else.

Right, its the minor globe of invulnerability spell that is centered upon a point in space. the fact that the spell acted both as a MCVE and a MGOI was what got me all confused, as the two work differently, at least last I checked

Right, standard GOI is immobile.

Just FTR though, the celestial's aura is always centered on himself, and it moves with him.
