I just wanted to throw out that as someone who lurks more than posts on this board, I am super excited to meet all you guys. I think this is going to be a good time and I personally can't wait.

Also, should we start putting together a "who's bringing what for the host" schedule? Not that it is urgent . Put me down for donuts...lots and lots of donuts...and coffee. :D

I am very excited also, but let's pace ourselves. It is almost 2 months away. :o

I will mention that I am planning on having 2 crock-pots set up. 1 with beef stew, 1 with cream of broccoli soup (& "bread bowls" to serve it), Seemed appropriate for October. Also my wife and I are not coffee drinkers, but we will have plenty of iced tea on hand.

I was planning on letting others take care of breakfast. :D

For those who will be playing and are familiar with Grim Tales, if there is any character type you are interested in trying, let me know. You should have the basic idea of the style of the game from my short intro.

I'd like to be the quasi-legitimate scientist. His colleagues know he's brilliant, but would never admit it publicly, and generally don't respect him. He's considered a bit of a misfit and a social outcast, thanks to his affinity for less-than-legal projects, and seemingly far-fetched ideas. But folks who have seen the results of his work come to him when they're in need of services not available from those living on the more brightly lit streets of the city.

Well it looks like everyone has figured out the tone of Blacktarn just fine. :]

Blacktarn

Well, if that's the case, I think my character has sought out Carl Zogs' scientist looking for a new mentor.

How does that work out? Well, I guess we'll find out!

My, my did this thread ever explode since I was here last :).

First, I'd like to be in Piratecat's morning Warhammer game. I've heard rave reviews of the setting and I want to see what all the fuss is about!

Second, a few quick notes about Underoo Avengers:

* All players and ages are accepted. Janiru can certainly join us! About the worst rating that I could ascribe to Underoo Avengers is PG, and that's always the player's fault!
* I will need a good bit of room for all of the gimmicks employed in this adventure. Not only do the gimmicks take up space on the table, but I usually need a sort of staging area as some of them have "some assembly required." In fact, I probably need more off-table space than on-table space. I apologize if that means rearranging something, it's one of the shortcomings of packing so much zanyness into one game :). I can certainly lend a hand if something needs to be moved.

I'll try to get some more information about the game itself on-line in the next few weeks.

Here I was hoping that with only 5 players you would fit in a smaller room. Varianor Abroad & SilverMoon what do you need for space?
