L10

Neither F2 (CL check 16) nor Frayed Knot are affected by the hammer.

Frayed Knot waits.

Round 635

F2 hits Perm with another ice storm (rolled 29 CL check) for 13 bludgeoning and 7 cold damage. F2 moves to 30N90E. Perm has 7 HP remaining.

F1 turns blurry, then moves to 90N45E.

F3 concentrates with no apparent effect, then moves to 110N90E.

F2 takes 3 points of damage from the clashing colors (25 CL check, 10 Ref save), but Frayed Knot is still not affected. F2 has 96 HP remaining. (I failed to give him HP when he polymorphed.)

Frayed Knot stays put.

Round 636

F2 hits Perm with yet another ice storm (CL check 24) for 9 bludgeoning and 3 cold damage. Perm dies when he hits the ground. F2 moves to 40N90E.

Next in round 636 for Chaotic Good is a monadic deva (deva) (Fiend Folio). Note the difference in the deva's aura from that in the Monster Manual and Gansk's ruling in the Celestia Arena regarding that subject.

F1 is at 90N45E, blurry, with 97 HP.
F2 is at 40N90E, blurry, with 96 HP.
F3 is at 110N90E, blurry, with 93 HP.
Frayed Knot is at 60N90E.

The deva has knowledge about dungeoneering, religion, and the planes. It recognizes the Fs as ferrumach rilmani, and knows their outsider traits, they have damage reduction that can be bypassed by any creature that is strongly aligned (other than Neutral), and their rilmani traits (immunity to electricity and poison, good resistance to acid and sonic).

Whitney the Monadic Deva will fly into the arena 45n45e45z and call for her spotlight (Holy Aura). She has chocolate brown skin and wild hair. Her mace has a black and somewhat pourus head, which she will hold in one hand and speak into.

F1 concentrates, with no apparent effect. 90N45E

F3 waits. 110N90E

Frayed Knot moves to 60N60E.

Round 637

F2 turns into a four-winged bird and flies up to 45N60N30Z before stopping suddenly at Whitney's nimbus of light. F2 lets out a breathy squawk of frustration. F2 has 40 HP.

Does Whitney think that Dispel magic is an attack? If not she will cast it at F2 If she does, F1.
She will try and dispel all three, in successive rounds.

OOC: can you reprise the protective aura ruling? or provide a link? mmm also does banishing an enemy count as harming (to prevent ties?)

This is what I said:

Since the duration of the aura is not specified, we can assume it lasts as long as the spells involved. The magic circle component of the aura lasts 10 min/level, while the lesser globe component lasts 1 round/level and can be dismissed as a standard action. The deva can always start a new globe as a free action immediately after casting a buff spell.

Damage/banishment to summoned creatures does not prevent a draw. A draw will occur in 5 rounds if the main participants are not damaged.

For purposes of letting a summoned creature into a magic circle, dispel magic is not an attack.

F2 does not disappear (CL check 18), but he is not blurry anymore.

F1 waits. F3 waits. Frayed Knot waits.

Round 638

F2 lands at 45N45E. Who to dispel now?
