Chainmail Bikini: AC or Cha bonus?

There were some rules that were generated on Nutkinland of old. This was a couple generations of boards ago, so I'm sure the threads are long gone. IIRC, we settled on a Distration bonus to AC which only applies to members of the appropriate sex, species, and persuasion.

It was meant to be humorous, and we also had feats to go along with it ( I recall Cleavage and Great Cleavage), with items for both the men and ladies. It was perhaps the most juvenile thing I've been involved in. But it was funny :).

Think about this magic item:
Gorgeous Chain mail bikini: Add +2/+4/+6 enhancement bonus to charisma and grant the charisma bonus to Armor class as the Apparent defense abilitie of the arcane duelist prestige class.

Same-name bonuses don't stack; so bracers of armour (armour bonus) don't stack with armour (armour bonus).

One can still wear them at the same time, but not get them to stack. My main PC's cohort wears a chain shirt +2 and a Bracers of Armor+6 at the same time, just to make sure of those nasty incorporeal touches. Same AC and everything.

If a magical chainmail bikini lets you combine a CHA bonus with an Armour bonus in one item, in the vest/clothing/torso slot, that seems a fairly practical use for it, especially if the cost isn't doubled for not taking up a slot - maybe the cost is x50% as only 50% of the population can get the combined bonuses? :)

Edit: normally you would need 2 slots - eg bracers of armour take the bracers/gauntlet slot, cloak of charisma takes the cloak slot.

I believe it'd have to take the armor slot. It'd get real expensive, especially if you put in Heavy Fortification and the Charisma bonus, but you'd get to wear that Major Cloak of Displacement and another set of bracers. Of course, does it count as armor, then, for monks and other PrCs that disdain armor?

I reckon it would - but why not put it in the Vestment slot? No Fortification but otherwise seems ok.
BTW if I had Bracers +6 (nice!) & chain shirt +2 I'd sell the shirt, there aren't many cases where it's any use (a-m field?) and it weighs a fair bit.
