Sorry I over-reacted, folks.

It's ok Ashtal, you ARE allowed to be human you know :).

Now Horacigon on the other hand is NOT allowed to be human, but that's just because of his previous sins ;)

Lincoln said that? I've never heard that before. Was that before or after he crossed the Delaware, or when he built the Panama Canal?

i think the problem, ashtal, may be that when you speak as you did, people are not sure if your doing so as a moderator or just expressing your personal opinion. i think many of us love to hear your personal opinions about this stuff, but just make sure to "take your moderator hat off" to let us know. if it's warrented (if stuff goes over the line), put it back on - but make sure it's done objectively. i think that's all that we would ask.

Truthfully, sometimes I don't even know which hat I'm wearing. And that can make things difficult for me, too.

I try to strike a balance, and I try to apologize if I screw up. That's all I can offer to do. :)

Actually this guy looks suspiciously like cntxt's character...

Yeah, from the waist down!

I dunno. you ask me, it looks a lot like Cntxt!

You're only saying that because of the fashion similarities. My hair is much better conditioned than that.

Ashtal, I don't think you overstepped anything.

You made your feelings known, defended your position, and warned off any transgression of the rules of this board.

Piratecat on the other hand charged in, accused people (and reprimanded them) for actions taken by you (the nipple comments) and threatened to act with an obvious lack of understanding.

Presenting an opposing viewpoint doesn't (and shouldn't) require apologies.

Not reading the thread, accusing people of things and threatening to flex "Moderator Muscle" without any cause is beyond my understanding...particularly coming from someone of PC's standing in this community.

I don't think it's too much to ask that a mod at least read the thread, and understand why they are threatening people before acting.

It's happened before.

It's not funny.

My last comment on the subject: I did read the thread. Twice. I misinterpreted Reapersaurus, I warned him, and I apologized when I found out I misunderstood him. I did not close the thread. I did not ban Reapersaurus. I'm not sure I understand why you seem to be taking this so personally. And I don't have a lot of interest in groveling over the error or dwelling on the subject.

Feel free to be disappointed or hold a grudge if you wish; I really can't control that one way or the other. I'm human, and when I moderate I act as dictated by both judgement and experience. If you aren't happy with how things are consistently moderated, then I really don't know what to tell you. Ironically, though, you should have figured out by now that your criticism of me on this subject should have been handled by email to me and/or Morrus. I'm pretty sure that's not rocket science, and this isn't the place to hold that conversation.

Subject (but not thread) closed, please. If anyone wishes to pursue it further, please do so by email.

I'll try to answer everything at once. My name is Calye. The booth I am in is the Twisted Fate Productions booth. Our product is the 2002 Chainmail Girl Convention Calendar. The 2002 version features artwork interpretations of the character of Amara Wintersword. Listings of gaming conventions are on each weekend. The 2003 version will be released in August 2002 and will feature photos rather than artwork. Copies of the calendar may be purchased from our website at http://www.geocities.com/chainmailgirl

That is Gary Gygax in the background. He was in the booth next to ours at Gencon 2001.

The top is made of aluminum and has a black lining. The top does offer full coverage.
