Reprints? Which ones are reprints?

I don't have Lords of Darkness, but I don't remember any of those organizations or PrC's being in there...

The following organizations were in Lords of Darkness:

Cult of the Dragon
The Eldreth Veluuthra
Monks of the Dark Moon
Zhentarim

I can live with Cult of the Dragon and Zhentarium being mentioned (They are kind of the major players), but I still see no reason to add Eldreth or Monks.

I also agree with Shem, there should be a section titled "Powers and Panetheons of Evil"

If only because I feel this way the Archfiends along with the evil Panethons get more details.

But if the book has more of a focus on playing evil characters, then those two organizations are both good as ones the players could be part of and be major players for (unlike the Zhents or CotD).

Um no. Because in the case of the latter, you can always become a Speaker with the right amount of pull AND you have pretty much free reign.

The former I'll grant you, might be harder, but if you prove you have the stones for it, you can be next in line for Chosen Status or even get Chosen Status if Bane feels like "Hey two Chosen better than 1!".

Well, I never got Lords of Darkness, so this book could be useful to me. Not that I will ever run FR again....why do I buy it then? (sigh)

That is pretty weird.

In any case, I'll be getting this book, but not for "playing evil campaigns" or other such nonsense. The villains (such as Eltab) are what I'm interested in with this book.

To give you ideas about playing selfish or evil anti-hero types, or making interesting villians, maybe? That is what the book is about afterall.

Yeah but it would be nice if they'd do more orgs that haven't been covered as much. The Iron Throne, Cults of Archfiends, etc. You know things PCs MIGHT not have read about.

But that's just me.

Yeah, I agree that it would be nice to have some more info on lesser known organizations like the ones you mentioned plus the Kraken Society to name just one.
