Champions

Here is what I got my the GM of the game:

Setting is 'Real World'. No Supers (at least, not yet). No Magic (at least, not yet). No non-existent Tech (at least, not yet).
PLAYER CHARACTERS NEEDED:
2 Archeologists. Both are good in general, but each has a specialty culture.
1 Anthropologist. Again, good in general, but with a specialty culture.
1 Military Cryptographer.
Additional PC's can be any of the above with the slight change that additional Cryptographers have to be Academic or CIA, but not military.

No PC knows or knows OF any other PC going into this. Specialty cultures cannot overlap. (i.e. go play in your own sandbox)
PC's will be built with a 55point DisAd allowance instead of the usual 100 pt.
However, in addition, all PC's will be required to purchase 20 pt. Normal Characteristic Maxima.
This gives you 75pts. free and clear.
You will be building 150 point characters.
So you will need to cover an additional 75pts.
5 points of this will be covered with simple 1-point 'quirks'. (i.e. hates the color red, likes sweet stuff, gets cold easy...etc.)
Be thinking of background of your characters. I.e. did the grow up on a farm? In the city? Was your Dad Military?
Don't forget support skills for your chosen profession. (i.e. Archeologists will need camping/survival skills appropriated to the climate that the specialty culture lives in....whereas the Anthropologist may instead have botany and zoology skills.)

I chose the Military Cryptographer. I got Creator and it seems to stream line the creation process. I haven't looked at any books yet but I have already managed to build what I think is a pretty decent character.

SPeaking of Creator, does anyone here have that program? If you do where are the quirks listed? My friend has his listed under Disadvantages on his character sheet but I can't find them in the program anywhere.

Datt,

Quirks aren't officially part of the Hero System, so Creator might not have them listed (you might have to fudge them somehow).

If you post your character at www.herogames.com, you'll almost certainly get helpful comments from the forum crew there.

I haven't picked up the hero5 champions suplement yet,(way too much to uy, and so little time) but I'm glad to hear they revised him. Do they have his henchmen that came out in the groups book for 4th edition. His team had perhaps the best backstory for a villan team in the history of comics/rpgs.

No henchmen, just him.
