Chaos Dragon's Confusion

Is there any way to remove the confusion from someone once they are affected? I know of heal, but I have no more heal spells. Greater Restoration would work, but that takes a long time to cast (even as a SPA).

I think I know the answer, but maybe I'm wrong. How about break enchantment? Magic circle vs. chaos/evil?

Basically, what can a planetar do?

The 2nd level spell Calm emotion supress the Confusion as long as it last.
Break enchantement is ok, even Dispel magic works.

The confusion effect from a chaos dragon is Supernatural as per the breath weapon. So, dispel magic will not work. Break enchantment will work?

The breath weapon might be supernatural but does it affect the targets as affected per the confusion spell? Then everything should just work. The only thing that would mean is that the breathweapon isnt counterspellable.

Just realized break enchantment is 1 minute long. Way too long for in combat with a bunch of high level critters. Greater restoration is out, too. And, I'm out of heal spells.

Dispel Chaos. We are facing a similar situation with two confused characters as a result of Word of Chaos from a Chaos Diamond. Got Heal on a scroll and the Lawful Cleric has Dispel Chaos prepared as a domain spell.

I have dispel evil, but the wording says: "Third, with a touch you can automatically dispel any one enchantment spell cast by an evil creature or any one evil spell." Note that the confusion from the breath weapon is not a spell. Additionally, it says "Exception: Spells that can’t be dispelled by dispel magic also can’t be dispelled by dispel evil." Supernatural effects cannot be dispelled.

Just get the bad guys to hit the confused PCs. The one nice thing about confusion, which is otherwise a nasty, nasty effect (funny how my PCs encounter it a fair bit ), is that a confused person attacked by someone else automatically targets that enemy next round and doesn't have to roll on the confusion effects table. Of course, if a confused PC attacks another confused PC, you're really sunk, since they'll keep beating on each other till someone goes down or the confusion ends.

That's what had happened. One of the very old radiant dragons attacked the throne archon. She got dropped to -9. She has very high SR for such a low CR. The planetars are having difficulty healing her in time.

Yep, with some enchantments, i.e. Suggestion, it might work to force opponents to attack the confused one.
