Chaositech in Eberron

Does anybody out there have Eberron and Chaositech by Monte Cook? I ask because, on the surface, the two seem like a good fit, but I don't own Chaositech. I'm wondering (and I don't know why I do this to myself, because there's really plenty of new ground to explore with Eberron) how well they'd work together. I was really intrigued by Chaositech when it first came out, but right now I'm a slave to WotC's shiniest, prettiest new thing. Which is a shame because I really like Monte's work. My only hope is to merge the two. Any thoughts?

Great minds think alike?

I can see where Choasitech would be a great fit, or even the start of a cool campiagn. The real twist would be to let players have the opportunity to give their PC choasitech. I know that in my game, the temptation would be hard to resist. ... Only their suspcion of my GM style would make them hesitate. >)

I own Chaositech and I'm afraid it doesn't quite fit the idea of Magitechnology. Chaositech is inherently non-magical... it provides magic-like effects but is not magic in any way shape or form. They're strange because they produce these effects, but for some reason they're not magic, but they still somehow work!

My own personal preference the armory of the Daelkyr, left behind when they were driven off of Eberron, but now remerging as forces conspire to break the seals that protect the world from them.

I am in the process of introducing it into my Ebberon campaign right now. My players are about to encounter a Mutant, and than later be ambushed by some guys with some chaositech items. Also the chaositech items that heal will work in the Mournlands so I am having some chaositech bases there. They will be competeing with the Warforged in the region for resources. I am having all chaositech stem from the research of one Daelkyr. In the description for Daelkyr it says they have certain "hobbies" and tech type chaos items just seem to fit that mold. It will be a slow introduction in game so they waon't really know what it is for a while.

I would think that Chaos tech would be a more natural fit for the Iron Kingdoms, than for Eberron. I think that using it in Eberron would be upping the default technology level of the world.

I think clarification is need. Chaositech is basically evil chaotic based energies that are harmful to the natural order of things. Now you can use it if you are good but it has some significant draw backs. Basically Chaositech is more along the lines of Lovecraftian magic-tech that doesn't function quite the same as say regular D&D magic. Realistically speaking, Daelkyr are probably the best fit in terms of using both in Eberron. Certainly the whole entropy based side of Chaositech works well with Cults of the Dragon Below too, but Daelkyr certainly seem, at least to me, to perhaps be a subset of the other Chaositech based demons, the Galchutt.

I don't agree. Monte has stated that Chaositech represents some kind of Anti-technology. He made his world to be very lawful, so he added Chaositech as a counter (i believe). Chaositech can work in Eberron, but it depends on how much you warp the world to make it your own.
