Today Rick got these advance copies for approval from the printer – Horror on the Orient Express will soon be available again in two hardcover volumes of 384 pages each, plus folded route poster map.
This new printing is a modest reworking of the original B&W layout from the 2014 boxed edition with minor corrections. Because we changed the font size a bit, and slightly reworked the layout, we were able to combine six softcover books into two hardcover books:
While the layout is "new", it's not radically different from the previous printing. The main intent was to get the book back into print, not redo it any more than necessary, so the main changes are the font size is smaller and the art placement has moved a bit depending on what worked best. Here's a side-by-side comparison of the 2014 ed (left) and the reprint (right):
The reworking of the layout often results in photos and maps being larger in size in the reprint. Note, the new font size is not smaller than any other book we currently publish for Call of Cthulhu.

Note: we will do an updated full color new edition of Horror on the Orient Express some day, probably in a slipcase much like we did with Masks of Nyarlathotep, though that is far down our production schedule - at least 2-3 years away. But the blue train will soon be back on the rails...

- A regular offset print run with sewn binding. Will be available from our Chaosium.com warehouses in the US, EU & UK.
- A POD version for the rest of the world (saves you $$ on postage!)
