"Character art for the upcoming Dragonlance comic."

Re:

Hi Stone Angel, I'm really happy that you like the artwork that you see. The writing will remain true to the story of Richard A. Knaak. You can check out my website at www.roaringstudios.com to find more information. Besides Dragonlance, we are also doing George R.R. Martin, and we will soon be coming out with Robert Silverberg, Raymond E. Feist, Tad Williams, Anne McCaffrey and many other fantasy/scifi authors that I can't mention yet :)

For those who haven't seen these pictures yet, enjoy and don't forget to post your thoughts on the Newsarama link above :)

Sorry I can't stay too long, but I will be away from my office for a bit, and will not have access to a computer until I come back, but I will be back in about a week and I will answer any questions that you might have.

Extremely Important

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

I'm back from my trip and I just wanted to let you all know that if you want to get your copy of The Legend of Huma comic book that it is important to go to your comic book retailer now so that he/she can order it for you. It will hit the comic book stores in January, but it is important to print out the form and bring it to your retailer today if possible. Tell the retailers in your own words how good Dragonlance is and tell them to let all their customers know about it, because it will be flying off the shelves. Please click the link below so that you can print out the order form:

Also please keep in mind that the success of The Legend of Huma will also allow us to adapt the other Dragonlance series as well, so please don't forget to order and to tell all your friends who are Dragonlance fans as well to order as well. If you have any questions at all on this please feel free to e-mail me at Ernst@roaringstudios.com As a Dragonlance fan myself, I can't wait until The Legend of Huma is out and with its success we get to start on Chronicles, Legends, Kaz, the Minotaur and all the others

Also we are adapting George R.R. Martin, Robert Silverberg, Raymond E. Feist, Tad Williams, Anne McCaffrey, and many others that I can't mention to you at this time. Please let me know if you or anyone are fans of these authors. I have a lot of pictures for George R.R. Martin, and a few conceptual art for Robert Silverberg and Tad Williams so far and if you want I can post them up for you as well.

I believe the staff was described more clearly in the "prequel" book about what happened after the group split up, but before they got back together at the beginning of the original trilogy.

As I remember it, it was topped with a golden dragon's claw clutching a large spherical gemstone. Not sure what color it was though, and the wood for the staff wasn't well described, IIRC.

But in the legand of huma the staff isn't described as having the claw or crystal, but is inscribed with runes. as Magius at one point is stuiding them.

Hmm. Just wondering, but do Kaz's horns curve forward, backward, or upward? They seem to do each in the different pictures shown so far. I'm in favor of forward, personally.

I have a friend who's a comic artist, in her senior year at SCAD. And today's her birthday. Hurray for comics.

I don't draw, but my artists do. If you go to my website www.roaringstudios.com you can ask Mike Miller if you had something in mind.

Phaoz:
Can you get me the page in The Legend of Huma that you got the information from the Staff of Magius, please. Thanks.

Ranger Wickett:
Thank you for the feedback about the horns of Kaz, my friend.
I wish your friend a very happy birthday :)

Here is the character sketch of Bennett, enjoy :)
