Character builder printouts help

Currently I have the character builder files as .dnd4e (I think that's right) and can print them out at home. However if I choose to print them out from a computer that doesn't have CB I can't because I don't see how I can convert the file into something the computer can read.

Is there a way to make the character sheet from CB saved as a pdf, rich text, or image in some way?

The easiest way is to download a PDF printer such as PrimoPDF. This will let you "print" any document to a .pdf file, including character builder character sheets.

The sizing go´s rubbish, save it as a pdf, and if you print, do not print it 100% but 95%.. than everything will be between the borders..

You can also save the character sheet as an XPS document. Just choose print, and instead of selecting your printer, select Microsoft XPS document writer. The file thus created can be opened in Internet Explorer and printed from any Windows based computer. The only problem is that on some computer (depends on the printer) the left part of the character sheet was missing.

Doesn't the DDI CB license allow you to install it in up to 5 locations?

That isn't always useful. . .I print my character sheets to .pdf so that I can print them at work if I want to. I doubt my work would appreciate me installing the CB on my computer. . .

What would be awesome is installing it onto a USB thumb drive.

I dunno, I use CutePDF and it works absolutely perfectly. Try that out!

I've noticed this problem too. It also hurts the quality. Anybody know how to fix it?

I use CutePDF as well. I recommend it.
