lol, well, what they don't know. . .

IOW, its easy to print 4 or 5 sheets when I'm closing up shop, but I think our IS department would frown on me installing programs. That is, even if I *could* do so.

Besides, everyone does their printing at work, right?

No, I don't. But, we do have an actual policy that some printing is okay as long as it doesn't use up too many resources. I forget what the specific wording is. Btw, I work for a very large company so that's actually saying something that some printing is allowable by policy.

And I used to work at a game-development company, so we were actively expected to install games on our PC's.

I use CutePDF as well, but we do have the same trouble printing. Its not that the sizing is rubbish, but that the borders are incorrect, leading to the top and left edges of the character sheets being cut off.

Personally I suspect a bug in CB.

I get the same problem - left edge cut off - when I print directly from the Character Builder. I installed CutePDF specifically to get round that issue, and when I print from the PDF files it fits the page perfectly.

Very bizzare, MarkB - my experience matches Oompa's, not yours!

Though, to be fair, we're printing from CB on Windows/Vista, while printing the PDF from a Mac.

Just a case of different hardware and software combos, I guess.

Obvious question: When you print the PDF, do you set it to re-size to fit printer margins? My CutePDF-generated PDFs display on-screen as edge-to-edge images, but when set to conform to the printable area, I get the whole character sheet image printed with about a 2mm white border around it.
