Character Catchphrases

"BEHOLD.....CORN....LET THE MATING BEGAIN!!!!!"
You really dont need to say anything else the entire game if your playing a creepy necromancer. I used this line when the group was fighting a dragon way out of are league. After some confusion and 15 minutes of laughing we got serious and kicked ass. After that i just started putting in Dr. Wierd lines anytime i thought the tension was too high.

My other favorites are "Have you ever danced with the devil under the pale moon light?" and "I have seen dragons with feet like rabits, its true i swear."

“Wait a minute... Soylent green is... GREEN!!!”

Or sometimes:

“Wait a minute... Soylent green is... CHARLTON HESTON!!!”

I started yelling this out in a particularly confusing Call Of Cthulhu adventure. It kind of carried over into other games and became a group catch-phrase whenever the party is stumped and can’t figure out how a particular clue fits into the grand scheme of things.

The Fighter/Telepath/Dominator I ran through Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil had a very poor opinion of the tactics used by the majority of creatures she faced. Practically every new monster had her wondering aloud, "How do you say 'dumbass' in [Goblin, Giant, Draconic, etc.]?"

My favorite catchphrase comes from our Mutants & Masterminds game, however. Whenever our heroes come close to getting beat, someone will cry out, "We need backup!" to be immediately answered, "There's your backup, drowning in his own spit!" Thanks to the powersuit ally who was knocked unconscious in his first battle, and nearly filled up his own helmet with drool before we could get to him...

Ah, good times.

"Now that's nothing to shake a sharp stick in the eye at." This (and similar mangled cliches) were catch-phrases for Sven Heavyhand, dwarven mercenary, in several campaigns.

I also find myself doing a lot of:

"You're doing WHAT?!"

and

"THAT's gotta hurt."

But those apply regardless of my current character; they have more to do with the rest of the party. :\

A common battle cry for Evendur Greycastle, in my Story Hour:
"Let's see how much pain you can handle!"
He likes sneak attacks. Can you tell?

After an ambush, Namfoodle Aleslosh Logtrip Groinsmash Acidjazz Stonecold Rabbithole Pyro Ningel, a half-fey gnome Sorcerer/Alienist, was often known to say:
"This'd be a good time to grow another eyeball..."

"Denw smash!" and "Are there any ponies?" are my wife's catchphrases for her berserker character. My current characters don't really have any catchphrases, but my paladin halfling has a speech impediment; he often confuses words that sound vaugely similar. His battle cry, for example, has been known to be "Blood, death, and vernacular!" As a player, my catch phase is (spoken optimistically): "When you're in these situations, you have to ask yourself: what's the worst that could happen?"
