One thing that intrigues me is what players use for character sheets. For myself, pretty much ever since I started playing in a campaign (about 15 years ago), I've used a computer to design my own sheets, and print off a new version each time I gain a level or the old sheet gets too messy.

What do you use?

Cheers!

For the most part I prefer stat blocks, as a DM, and this has carried over into the times I get the chance to play, as well. :)

All three times, Mark? ;)

(I've played about four sessions of 3E and 3.5E since 3E was released...)

Cheers!

I personally like Mad Irishman's sheets, which can be acquired from rpgsheets.com

I've used them since i first found them two years ago, and the latest version for 3.5 is even better. It's got all i want in a sheet. I tend to find that if i design my own sheets, they don't look nearly as attractive. That and the fact that i mostly GM, and by having my players use a standardised sheet, it makes it easier to look up their stats ;)

When I needed just a plain character sheet, for a pen and paper game where I didn't have the information beforehand, I used Ema's.

In any other situation, I'll use electronic sheets: e-tools, Character Generator, even Notepad if it's for a PbP game here.

I voted for pen and paper as i have always been able to organize my thoughts better. I would probably use a premade sheet but i have never found one to fit my needs, one thing that i hate about premades is the skill list. They list every single phb skill, when i would much prefer to just have ten empty slots with spaces for the modifiers, i mean when is my half orc barbarian going to need knowledge arcana (ok maybe once or twice, but thats not the point)

so yeah..pen and paper
