Seramil = APPROVED!

Man, I like saying that!

I am not sure how (or if I even have the permissions) to move the page to the Approved Character tab. Maybe a judge will help out with that?

Hello LPF peeps! :D

I am in the process of making a Witch so I can join in the fun but I had a quick question come to mind...

Can the weapon finesse skill apply to the witch's natural claw weapon?

I am planning to use the Agility patron so I thought this would go really well together. :P

Seramil has been moved to the correct categories.

Yes. Weapon Finesse can be applied to natural weapons. Natural weapons are considered light weapons. Familiars are a good example of that.
Welcome to the fun.

Thanks for the quick answer! <3

Next questions are all about the familiar:

1.) During a fight, can my tiny viper occupy the same space as my Witch? He'll likely be coiled up beneath my clothing most of the time... but during combat is there any reason that he would have to leave that safety?

2.) If I take the Evolved Familiar feat to give him the 1 point Bite evolution, would his weapon finesse swap his dex modifier for the strength for the damage increase? I am so confused. :P

3.) What about if the snake uses it's turn to prepare a strike and then on the Witch's turn she were to throw the snake at a nearby enemy?

I feel like that an intelligent snake companion could be an exceedingly useful ally to a creative young witch! What do you guys think? :D

1. Yes.

2. Only for to-hit, not damage.

3. I would allow it, but this is a really, really, really bad idea. Your familiar is your spellbook, and you don't even have the option of making a backup copy like a wizard or magus does. Keep your familiar SAFE.

I hope I'm not being a pest, and if there is a preferred area for these kinds of questions please let me know...

My newest line of thought concerns the interaction between the Magical Lineage trait and the Extend Spell metamagic feat. If I choose Daze (a cantrip) for the Magic Lineage spell, and then use Extend to prepare it, it would still be prepared as a level 0 spell right? So would it be expended when cast?

reference information

Trait: Magical Lineage
Pick one spell when you choose this trait. When you apply meta magic feats to this spell, treat its actual level as 1 lower for determining the spell’s final adjusted level.

Feat: extend spell
Level Increase: +1 (an extended spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level.)

Personally I feel that if the trait is used on a cantrip, IMHO, it almost feels like a waste.

SPELL DESCRIPTION:
After a creature has been dazed by this spell, it is immune to the effects of this spell for 1 minute.

the info in red almost seems like it would prclude having a second round of effect.
