This was a gnome warlock who accedently let an eldar demon loose in the prime material plane, because, and this is the real kicker, she was board.

This was a human cleric of a goddess of fire and knowledge. After the party defeated the evil cultists of a god of death, she and the party necromancer argued over who would get the books.
There are others, who go along similar lines like the gender-bending elf rouge...

ex( half beholder cleric whose favorite passtime when not adventuring was scraping thin layers of bone off of deceased enemies and friends skulls until they shone, then filling them with fire ants and placing them in his bedroll. oh, yeah, he would always take a coup de grace, even if it was a close friend or ally. four other characters in my party committed suicide because he was so weird. sigh. nostalgia
