Chasing Adventure is a fast-paced PbtA game about daring action and exciting risk. Players take on the roles of familiar fantasy archetypes, such as the Bard, Ranger, or Wizard, and adventure throughout the world to thwart its Ominous Forces. During your adventures you'll be presented with many difficult choices. Do you betray your promise to the princess if it means saving an innocent? Do you jump onto the enemy dragon's back even if falling is perilous? These risks, choices, and sacrifices form the core this game, and adventurers are encouraged to take bold, exciting risks. While your character only dies when you allow it, failure is not without consequence. The Ominous Forces advance in danger and severity every time you are defeated and every time you take a break to rest. Do you recover your strength to make your next challenge easier, or do you risk pushing forward before all is lost?
Chasing Adventure was released in PDF form in January 2024 to positive acclaim. If you've always loved the idea of a fantasy roleplaying game but were unhappy with the amount of time and math typically involved, then Chasing Adventure might be just for you. The game is already available in two PDF versions: a free one with everything you need to play, and a full one with additional content and guidance for those who want to mix it up.
The Hardcover Kickstarter Campaign launches March 18, 2024. Many fans have expressed interest in getting a physical copy of Chasing Adventure for their bookshelf, and we wanted to make that dream a reality. Back at the Digital PDF level to receive a digital PDF of the game's full version shortly after the campaign successfully finishes, or back at the Hardcover Book level to receive a physical copy of the game later this year! We're also offering We also have a few stretch goals in mind, including new playbooks, a chasing adventure themed stream overlay, and expanded content in general, all of which would be released for free to everyone if funded.
