CHEAP BROKEN monk weaponry

just thought that i would share a little good news with all you monk lovers out there ;)

if you wear a +5 amulet of mighty fists, and then wear bracers of striking, you can put up to +10 worth of abilities on the bracers, thus giving you a VERY nice effectively +15 weapon; sure you have to pay double the cost to enchant the bracers but oh well. youre getting a +15 weapon for 550,000 gold!!!(200Kx2 for bracers + 150K for amulet)

Actually, that wouldn't work. Just because the Bracers have +10's worth of abilities on them doesn't mean that it applies to your fists. According to the DMG, NO Weapon can have an effective enhancement bonus higher than +10. This therefore comes down to an issue of whether the effective enhancements stack- just as if you wore a cloak of Charisma +6 and a Ring of Charisma +4. So sure, the Bracers of Striking can have an effective +10 on them- but most of it would go to waste, as only +5 of it would be able to be applied to your fists.

You're not gonna find anything in the rules to defend against that, so don't even try.

Sure it might not work out as good as he said but still +5 to hit and damage and +5 in abilities (which sounds all well and good) would be fantastic for a monk that wanted to stick to just fists.
Metalline +2
Ghost touch +1
Ki focused (+1 I think allows things like stunning fist to work while wearing bracers)

umm yeah those would make me very happy. Holy , axiomatic, disrupting would be nice but not as nice as the first two I listed. Well in my book anyway. Though I do wonder if I can send my vorpal, keen fists out dancing.

But any monk can do that with Bracers of Striking.

Anyway, you couldn't have Keen OR Vorpal fists, since they deal bludgeoning damage. There are Epic Feats for that, but if you're already epic, I think this discussion's kinda pointless.

you can have impact, which is just keen for blunt weapons.

amusingly, you can have disrupting fists. take that, undead.

what i meant, was that the amulet would give you the +5 enhancement bonus to hit/dam as opposed to putting it on the bracers of striking. then, you could dump MORE abilities into the bracers than just +5 worth. and yes, they would ALL apply to your fists; thats the whole point of bracers of striking-so that monks can enchant their fists with magical abilities. it would be silly to wear the amulet AND put an enhancement on the bracers. my point in saying this was to get more bang for your buck. you essentially can give yourself an epic amount of abilities onto your fists for a nonepic price; i suppose by some peoples standards, 500K gp is alot, but when you consider that price for +15 worth of enhancement bonus and abilities in comparison to what that would cost for getting one epic weapon with all of that, its not a bad deal.

also, what monk wouldnt want to stick to just their fists? i have only three words for you all, IRON GOLEMFIST RINGS. 2d20 base unarmed damage for only 64K gp(its in the book of eldritch might). if someone knows of a weapon with better base damage let me know.
