Here's an example of a cursed immovable rod.

The PCs find a glowing and obviously highly magical rod laying on a pedestal.

Try as they might, they cannot move it or take it any where. It's immovable. Get it?

Sort of like a Ring of Invisiblity that's invisible.

Great stuff here! I wish I had an immovable rod in my game...Oh, wait, I'm the DM. I get all I want. MWUUUHAHAHA!!! I think I'll use them to build some monkeybars.
