Speaking as someone who has been to both Games Plus and the Source, they are virtually counterparts for one another. Games Plus can be a real pain to get to from throughout the Chicagoland area, but there isn't really any way around that. I would say, though, that it's worth the drive if you make an event of it. It's got a supply of miniatures, terrain, backlist RPGs, new products, and peripheral books very much like that of the Source.
While the Source is associated with Atlas Games and Fantasy Flight up here in the Cities, Games Plus is connected (you could say) to Creative Mountain games and known for hosting the stellar EN World Game Day gatherings for the Chicagoland area.
Simply put, Games Plus is Chicago's Source. It's what you're looking for.
