Geez, this sounded a lot more ominous this morning than when I posted it yesterday. Sorry bout that.

Sorry, also, to the folks who figured they'd be a shoe in to "win" the best at their table. I've just gotten off the phone with Mark and explained my reasoning on this but here it is for everyone.

Since the second slot can end at some tables at eight o'clock while at others much later, it really isn't logistically possible to have a vote for a winnner. Also, I think it is best for all concerned to allow for random rolls of the dice to determine the winners so that everyone has an equal chance at a prize.

Anyway, Mark will probably be posting a little more but I can't thank him (and the rest of the KenzerCo folks) enough for the generous offer! Thanks gang!

Oops!

Just got off the phone with Mark, and he suggested that I make a couple changes and clarify a few things I wasn't clear on.

So, here's the plan:

I'm going to bring a good-sized box of the D&D: Kingdoms of Kalamar books and modules for the d20 system (I'll probably throw in a couple HackMaster items, too). Then, after Slot 1, every person at each table will roll a d20. The person with the highest roll for each table gets to pick one free item from the box! Then we'll do the same for the Slot 2 games before the game starts.

(That was Mark's idea, by the way, and it's a much better one than my 'voting' idea. That way less-experienced gamers don't feel like they have no chance to win and its equally fair for everyone.)

ALL GM's also have a chance to pick from the box, without a roll. That's to show our appreciation for your help in making this d20 games day possible! (Of course, GM's aren't eligible to roll as a player, if they're playing in another game. That way more people will have a chance to get free d20 product!)
