Chicago Gameday - The Aftermath!!!!

Buzz has Emailed his concept for a Viking Rogue to me, and it is approved (tm)! I've asked him to share it with others so they may benefit from his idea and perhaps springboard from it in their own. Thanks Buzz! :)

Buzz's viking rogue for Mark's morning game

Einarr Snorrason is short, shrewish, gaunt young man with dishwater blonde hair and pale skin. Not your typical viking. His nickname, Kleykir, implies that he is a person in trouble or suffering some sort of disgrace. What that disgrace or trouble may be is a mystery; all he will say is that his father died a long time ago and that he and his mother lived in a small jarldom of which you've probably never heard. He values his wits and a good shadow to hide in more than the axes and berserker rage so favored by his countrymen. Some say he's aided by darker arts as well...

Quote: "Who needs brawn, bluster, and a battleaxe when I have stealth, secrecy, and a stiletto at my disposal? Idiots..."

Whee! :D

And rowport has come up with a wonderful concept for the Barbarian, and ejja_1 has the Fighter. That leaves Expert, Druid and Sorcerer... :)

Tom's Dwarven Barbarian for Mark's Game

Horton Chainshaker is an overtall dwarf, looked upon much askance by his brethren in his youth. “Dwarves should never be so dang tall,” they’d say, “it just ain’t proper.” Their tune changed, however, when he earned his name with his brutish, barbaric fighting tactics. “Eh, well, perhaps there is something to the lad, after all…”

Horton earned his name while abandoning the axe of his clan, preferring the heft of the spiked chain attached to his wrist. He was captured and tortured during a raid last season, and while escaping from his dungeon prison, used the chains and manacles which bound him as a weapon- after tearing them free of the crumbling stone wall! It is a mark of pride that he wears that chain to this day. He is hugely strong, honor-bound, intelligent, and tends to his duties with quiet aplomb.

Quote: “Ye need more iron in yer diet, ye orcish maggot! Taste my chain!”

Sign me up for Marks evening game to Mr. Helms

Might as well make it a night of CMG goodness.
Sorry Mr Helms, forgot to say please.

Concept for Marks Vikings game

This is for the Fighter position.
Im thinking of a warrior of TYR, Marked by the god of
justice and war Helgar Son of Tyr travels the world as
a mercenary. He walks the land in search of conflict,
and mets out TYR's justice with an iron hand. As cold
as a north wind, Helgar's heart can feel no mercy for
his opponents. He has fought long and hard and has
gained great skill with the longsword, learning how to
remove hunks of flesh like a skilled surgeon. Many men
have died on his blade, the rest have been severily
maimed.
Helgar claimed his current blade and armor from a Jarl
he had defeated in single combat, his shield was given
to him by his mother when he left for his first raid.
It was left to her by one of the many men she had met,
as payment for her mending a cloak and cooking him
dinner. Helgar never met his father, and has been told
by his mother that he is the son of Tyr.
Helgar takes this subject very seriously, and has
dispatched many men that have questioned his lineage.
His armor is a chain shirt and he wears leather
breeches beneath his wollen cloak, his shield is a
buckler. His blade is leaf or tear shaped, and
incredibly sharp. Helgar looks forward to the day when
he meets his fate, and can be returned to his father
in Valhalla. He seeks great honor in TYR's name, and
has been known not to back down to foes greater in
strength and number. This has earned him the nickname
of Doom Seeker by the few friends he has, and has been
the cuase of many a desertion by men of lesser heart.
Helgar has Brown hair and Hazel eyes, and is not very
conversational.

His dishwater hair cascaded on down,
To his shrewishly, gauntily Snorrason frown,
Young as he was, no plain Viking by far,
As he reached up for tankards of ale from the bar,
Way up high he did drink, on his tippiest toes,
And he toasted his daddy from way long ago,
All the Vikes in his jarldom (can't remember the name),
Weren't sure from whence Snorreson Shorteson came,
But he blusters quite well, and can spit out an curse,
So they'll follow him cause behind them would be worse... :p

rowport - Welcome aboard!

ejja_1 - Got you signed up for the afternoon slot. And don't worry about being polite to me - you obviously haven't met me yet :)

Mark - Shutting out pat_b? Cold, man, just cold. Speaking of cold, I'll have a Viking Druid concept to you in a few.

Later,
Matt
