I agree Mark.

The longer the thread for game sign ups is there, the more chance of folks needing to drop out or other hazards coming up.

Don't push Murphy, he'll put it where the sun doesn't shine. Sideways.

I would like to see the sign up thread start about 3 weeks before July 9 at most, but that's just me.

What could we do in the meantime...
Well, it gives us time to start working on prizes and goodies. Maybe we can work up some official support from the companies whose games we are running?

Yes. I will gladly play both CoC games (any system, any era, any insanity)!
Well, after this weekend I'll know for sure, I think, that I'll be coming. Assuming that I am, I'll formally propose a modern era d20 Cthulhu game. Because chargen is a snap, I'll let everyone build their own in the first 15 minutes or so of the slot, then we'll jump into playing. Heck, I'll even bring some Heroclix mooks like SWAT team members and the like to be miniatures for the game...

Maybe the extra time will give some new people a chance to find out about this. Maybe even a few new games offered. We have the table space, maybe we will have the turn-out to justify more games by new (for us) GMs.

Hello, thalmin! How many more tables can we have? I can mention this thread elsewhere and we can see if we have some more interest in the Gameday and maybe a few more games.

Rumor has it that some places within driving distance delivery pizza these days...

:p

Yeah, but can they make and deliver an anchovy pizza made with feta cheese?

OK, so they probably can.

You just can't get that in the backwater that is Milwaukee, much less delivered. Heck, Pizza Hut just stopped delivering to my neighborhood last year. All we had available for delivery was that horrible product of Detroit (the "alleged pizza" that is Dominos) until Sarpino's opened (another new national chain).

EN Gameday, Call of Cthulhu, anchovy pizza--this could be a perfect day! :)

You can't even taste the fish, what with the overpowering taste of salt.

At least it's not pineapple pizza. :shudder:
I like pineapple on my pizza once in a while. Anchovy, never.

I could go for a jalapeno and cheese pizza.

Peace and smiles :)

As long as we're wandering tangentially into pizza discussions, I'll throw my vote in with Kent -- I'll take an anchovy pizza over a pineapple pizza any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

And let me be the first to state; if after all this there's not some pizza at the gameday, there's gonna be a butt-kickin'.

In game, of course! :heh:

Just don't put chicken or onions on my pizza thank you!! I can handle dead fishies, feta cheese, pineapple, jalapeno, sun-dried tomato, artichokes, spicy sausage, what have you. But chicken does not belong on pizza (gourmet or otherwise), and onions just make the whole darn thing taste like them.

At the end of the day though, I'm generally a purist and plenty happy with pepperoni and double cheese. :D

As for the games, it looks like we're gonna have us some Cthulhu-ey rich, goodness with lots of nasty dead hobbitses and insane Investigators...or something like that.
