I would actually prefer that people refrain from contacting publishers about prize donations en masse. I have a mailing list of 36 different publishers that I use for solicitaion, and I think it seems more legit if the request comes from an "organizer" (or whatever I am), rather than many requests from organizers, GMs, and attendees.Reidzilla said:5th) A good use of this thread might be to keep tabs on the hunt for prize support. Who has contacted whom and when. That way we can avoid double-teaming any one company and make the most of our efforts. Personally, I will contact Green Ronin and Troll Lords as I am running an event for each. Unless, that is, someone already has or someone has an "in" with either company. Networking works in the business world, why shouldn't we use it to ensure the best Gameday ever!
So, make the list of pizza jernts available to all, and let all purchaseth from the jernt of their own choice.Barendd Nobeard said:I was imagining a more intimate arrangement, where each small group who wanted pizza would order and pay for their own pizza. They could, of course, coordinate with each other, but it would not be any sort of official Gameday function to organize a single pizza order.

I was going to ask Malhavoc Press again for donations. But you are more than welcome to do that for me.buzz said:I would actually prefer that people refrain from contacting publishers about prize donations en masse. That said, if you have an "in" please make use of it and let us know. Also, please ask potential donators to send prizes directly to Games Plus in care of Curt. Again, more legitimacy than asking companies to send free stuff to your house.![]()

Well, if you have an "in" and were successful last time, then go right ahead. I'm betting you hang on the Malhavoc boards more than I do (which is not at all).Jaws said:I was going to ask Malhavoc Press again for donations. But you are more than welcome to do that for me.
No harm, no foul.Reidzilla said:Sorry, my bad. When no one commented on my post, I figured I would go ahead and contact them. I'll just go crawl into a hole and die...![]()
