What is currently in place (the schedule, organization, allowance of outside prize support, etc.) is as it is because it has been approved by Curt as it now stands.
Very true, though Curt was the one who said upthread it was not a problem to run later.

Please keep in mind that this is all still hypothetical. We have a lot of time before sign-up needs to start, so I figured we could toss around some ideas.

I'd be careful about changing the lunch times. I know Tom at Sub Express has his lunchtime staff hang around a bit later to accomodate us now, not to mention Games Plus having staff on hand for the shopping break.
Ah, very good point. I wasn't aware that Sub Express kept track of our schedule.

Well, never mind then, I guess. :\

Okay...

Why don't we go back to FCWesel's (iirc) original idea.

Breakfast: 8:00am - 9:30am
Morning slot: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Lunch: 2:30pm - 3:30pm
Afternoon slot: 3:30pm - 8:30pm

This way, the only thing changing is the start time of the afternoon slot, which will now better accommodate our Metra riders' evening schedules. Mornings won't be as easy for them, but that's the trade-off... and probably the better trade-off.

As far as shopping goes, all I can really do is ask that GMs be mindful about the timing of their events. Plan for 4-4.5 hours, and view 2pm-2:30pm as a buffer you can use if necessary. Definitely avoid spilling into the lunch break.

Sorry for the successive posts. Anyway...

To come full circle back to the food thing, my basic position is: If you really feel the need to bring snacks for people who skipped breakfast, fer gosh sakes, bring something that is self-contained and easy to clean up. Doughnuts, danish, muffins, crullers, breakfast bars, etc. Anything that does not require plates and utensils, nor drips on the table, gets the thumbs-up from me. :)

Sounds good enough to me!

The extra sleep would have been appreciated, but hey, sleep deprivation is part & parcel of gaming, particularly in an "organized con" atmosphere, is it not? ;)

Well, you've got about two months to clear your schedule so that you can get a good night's sleep the night before Gameday. :)

Dork that I am, I actually do plan for this. After a few Gamedays where I was running on fumes due to staying up too late the night before, I now make a point to get my prep done by Thursday night at the latest. Friday night is all about relaxing and getting to bed early. I just don't work well on less than 7-8 hours of sleep.

I've started getting my prep for the next Gameday done the week or so after the current Gameday. :uhoh: :o

I'd really like to play Bobby in another Witchcraft game if anyone is willing to switch slots with one of us.
I could be tempted to make that switch. I wouldn't mind getting in some Cthulu or the "Children in Peril" game.

Still want to switch?

Sure. Both Laurie and I really enjoyed the Winchesters game last time.

Thanks TB

NC - I call dibs on Bobby. :p

No problem. It's a win-win. Now I can either go mad from insanity in Chtulu or go mad from the insanity of being a child.

Rock on.

Buzz, can you pull the ol' swap-a-roo on Vyvyan Basterd's event and mine? There's a BOOYAH! in it for you if you do...

I'm trying to do as much prep as possible in advance. Yet I say that every gameday. I just naturally shove things off until the last minute.

But this time will be different!

...maybe.
