I would love to see all the Half-races done as templates. That way I would do strange things and have a Half-Elf/Half-Giant. :)

Am I the only one who read Morrus article in Asgard 1?

I have a half-human template I wrote up a while ago. I'll post it when I get home.

In my campaign, no race is genetically compatible with another race, *except* humans, which are genetically compatible with all humanoid races.

I voted for "1/2" planar (even though Tieflings and Aasimar are far less than half). I'd like to see more plane touched races specifically one descended from Rilmani.

I voted for other. I want to see a half kobold, baby! Kobolds are king! I have plans for a kobold succubus, kobold half fiend, and a kobold half dragon (since they ARE related to dragons ::snicker::.) Seriously, these guys are so cute and cuddly, I'd love to have one as a friend. Too bad he'd kill me with some brilliant trap and skin me and eat me. Oh, well, Can't have it all.

If everyone is compatible with humans, then scientifically, everything should be compatible with each other. (At least, I think. I'm a bit rusty.) It's something to do with the number of chromosomes a species has. Humans have 24 chromosomes, deer have 60-odd. So you'll see no half deer people around.

Orcs, Humans, and elves must have the same number of chromosomes. And dragons mate when they are polymorphed, so that could work. You could potentially have Orc-Elf Hybrids.

Theres probably many more factors involved, but this is how I understood it.

Science doesn't mesh nicely with fantasy here IMO :D
for exemple: in greek mythology the minotaur is the mix of a woman and a bull, but strangely enough, bull don't mix with horse, while centaur can mix with woman or horses, so logically we should be able to have horse-bull-centaur, it get silly too quickly to involve science here :D
