Says multiverse is the true setting of 5e, which is where the Vecna adventure is set.
I have a feeling that all the info you need to play will be in the adventure, but each world will have a "If you're interested in learning more about this world..." statement to guide people on what to buy if they do want learn more."The core setting for 5e is the multiverse." Not sure how I feel about that. First thoughts is that Wizards wants me to buy more books to get to play this super adventure. I do not want to play most of the worlds, so I hope that there are things I can skip or brush over and control if I buy this adventure. I like that Vecna is the core villain even if not traditionally FR but Greyhawk.
How dare you mock the Hands of Vecna! Draw thy sword... no... no... not with your head..."Also, we want you to feel tempted to buy all these different setting books."
I wonder if they're going to bring back the dorky cultists with hands for heads from 2E.
To be fair, the announced that years ago, like in the first year or two of the launch of 5e IIRC"The core setting for 5e is the multiverse." Not sure how I feel about that.
Eye see what you did there! How dare you mock the Hands of Vecna! Draw thy sword... no... no... not with your head...
Ravenloft is a potential candidate, since Vecna once was darklord of a domain there (is Kas still stuck in Ravenloft?).So, which worlds will be visited in the adventure? I'm guessing that Greyhawk, FR, and some of the Planes are shoe-ins. Will there be other D&D settings? Some new, entirely different worlds?
