Is this Podcast some kind of interview to listen?
WayneLigon said:Finally listened to my first podcast. An interesting interview, certainly. Side note: never, ever heard anyone before pronounce 'Ronin' as 'Roneen'; I've always heard it pronounced as rhymes with 'phone-in'.
It's just that when using loan words from another language, using the language's own pronunciation is rather strange, as about 40% of the English language comes from French, and I don't hear people switching accents and pronunciation rules for those.Cam Banks said:A transliterated I in Japanese words is pronounced like the I in "happiness." Thus, ninja is NEEN-ja and ronin is roh-NEEN.

It bordered on the ridiculous.
