Cindersoul personality

First Post
My friend is going to be running a campaign soon in which we, the players, are evil and trying to take over the world.

I am a cindersoul genasi. I am a pyromancer. Workers pretty well together i think. I enjoy burning everything i can see, anything that moves. All my spells do fire damage.

As a cindersoul I'm the anti-firesoul, changed by the abyss.

But it seems to easy. Being the guy that wants to burn down the world is going to get boring. Any idea's to make him more fun to play?

First, ask yourself some basic motivational questions.

Do you want to destroy the world, or do you want to rule it? If you just want to burn it down, then a field of ash is neither able to serve you, nor very interesting.

Is burning something/someone to ash a means to an end, or an end unto itself? See the first question. The threat of destruction can give power. Destruction, itself, gives nothing but a moment of satisfaction.

Does yearning for ultimate destruction serve the ends of your fellow party members? If not then why are you with them or, better question still, why are they with you? Are you hiding your ultimate goals from them? Are you eventually going to turn on each other?

All of this goes into determining the personality of your character.

Hoe about an incongruity in his personality, like an inordinate affection for kittens?

We played our first session last night. We were told that we were created by this mystery man that he had made us for a special purpose but he wouldn't tell us until we were more powerful, but that there were things he could tell us once we take over the city we were in. When we went outside all the guards were happy to see us, until we started to kill them.

I pretty much but myself off as a demon of fire. Running around setting as many of them (by them i mean NPCs and players like) on fire with my AOE. After every battle i would step into the place where the most guards had died by my fire and just inhale the smell.

As far as the party goes the only one i don't really like is the tiefling bard. He's harder to burn than the rest. Oh well burn everything should help with that ;)

Make him more interesting by giving him a reason to burn things. Why does he love fire so much?

Was he fed too much undercooked meat as a child? Was he raised in a swamp and beaten mercelessly if he couldnt get the campfire started, even in the rain?

Now as an adult he overcompensates for those problems with fire, and when presented with the thing that messed him up in the first place he flips out and burns everything.

Perhaps the intro to the Dark Souls can give you some inspiration.
