is there any suitable prcs for such a character? race would be either goliath or half ogre with half giant teplate from the slayers guide to giants added. warhulk seems good but the no time to think seems bad since the teplate ads bonuses to wis and int. one level of monk combined with monks belt would be a good start but then what? i want him to be good at grappling and unarmed combat, and as strong as possible. the half giant template ads +8 strength, + 4 con, -2 dex and modifiers on int, wis and cha from the giant it is based on, one size category larger,6 extra d8hd. character will start at 12 and probably level up to 15.

Reaping Mauler (Complete Warrior) is a grapple specialist and IMHO fits your character theme.

Tome of Battle has feat that increases unarmed strike damage on a level base (or adds 4 to your effective monk levels regarding unarmed strike damage, if you have monk levels).

Well, if you want a high strength, there's always the Warhulk PrC from the Miniatures Handbook. Have to be large or larger, though

reaping mauler won't work since it requires medium size or smaler. exemplar? from what book? the feat from tome of battle sounds good. is it availible somewhere on the internet?

Exemplar is from Complete Adventurer. It's really best for people who excel in their skills.

Some thoughts on classes:

Warblade (Tome of Battles: Book of 9 Swords) would work decently: pick up Stone Dragon and Tiger Claw maneuvers that boost your strength, toughness, and unarmed attacks.

Monk might not be bad - particularly if you quickly move over to Tattooed Monk, which has a number of tattoos that could work well for this concept.

Hulking Hurler?

Barbarian?

Animal Lord (Apelord or Bearlord - from Complete Adventurer)

Dragon Disciple?

Take Monk as your base class, then get into Kensai as soon as possible.

Take Unarmed Strike as your weapon of choice and your attacks will get pumped like a manufactured weapon (shocking flaming freezing bane fists!) and there is also a class ability that grants a +8 to Str for a limited time which stacks with just about everything.

Other Str boosters include the Bull's Strength & Enlarge Person arcane spells, Bull's Strength & Righteous Might divine spells, access to the Strength Domain and the Expansion psionic power.

Consider...Monk/Cleric with access to the Str Domain going into Kensai?

Other options: the OA Shaman is similar to the Monk with the IUC feat being a freebie, and, as I recall, can gain access to the Str Domain. Additionally, with the 3.5 update, his Unarmed strikes are boosted to being nearly as good as the Monk's.

Multiclassed with either a PsiWar or an arcane caster, along with the other tips I listed above and you'd have a PC with IUC, a Domain that grants a Str boost and a Str boosting spell, a Psionic power or arcane spell that grants a Str boost & reach, and PrCl that grants a Str boost and enchants the PC's unarmed attacks.
