Charlarn of Phyrah: Male human cleric 3/ranger 1

Charlarn raises his head from his writing when Hulgyr enters. He takes note of the orc, but soon returns to his task.

Nezrak gets up from his chair, lifting his rather heavy backapack. "I think I'll go sightseeing some shops, since it seems to be pretty quiet job-wise in here. Don't burn down the Inn while I'm gone, alright.", he says to rest of the people in the Inn as he leaves.
"Bye, Nezrak. Have fun."

Ignatious

Iggy eyes the orc warily. The last orc he met was friendly enough, but stupid and overbearing. Hearing talk of love, he shies away and sits down with Charlarn.

"Hi there. Glad you're here. Anything going on about the inn? I sure hope Sara gets here soon. This place isn't the same without her."

Charlarn says, "It's nice to see you as well, Ignatious. Nurlan, Tenebrynn, Ashnar, and Rinaldo went to Monemvassia. A man wanted Nurlan to look into some sort of disturbance there. I'm just sitting here writing up my travels so far. The church wants stories, so I didn't go with them. I haven't seen Sara here. But I thought you were traveling together."

A Clash of Earth and Sea (Adventure Hook)

A courier arrives in the Red Dragon Inn, bearing a small package carefully bound in some sort of canvas. Moving quickly to the bar, he presents it to Joe, and then hurries on to his next destination.

Unwrapping the package carefully, Joe reveals a small chest. It's about 6" x 4" x 3" in dimension, and the chest itself gleams of silver.

"Oh my! How pretty!" He comments, as he pulls a note loose from underneath some loose objects. "I've always like pearls."

Those who sit near the bar can see that the small chest is indeed filled with a fairly large number of pearls.

Reading over the note, Joe adresses the room.

"This may interest some of you. Seems a small community of Merfolk need the assistance of a party of adventurers. Some sort of demonic taint is spreading throughout their lake, turning the fish vicous and deadly. They want me to hold on to these pearls and to give up to one fifth of the amount to any adventurer returning to me with a letter indicating they've succeeded in the mission... that looks to be about 1,500 gold upon completion. They want adventurers able to walk on land, since they think that a Merrow with some sort of magic powers is responsible, and the Merrow move about on dry land a lot better than the merfolk."

"I don't suppose any of you swim?"

As Hulgyr finishes his meal and his ale, he walks up to the bar.

"Another one of that fine ale?" he asks Joe. As he drinks the ale he continues: "Hulgyr will help the waterpeople. Just Tell where to go and what to do. Hulgyr is strong so swimming will be good."
He scans the room to see if any of the other occupents rise to the challenge: "You people will help with Hulgyr, yes?". He nods as he finishes the last of his ale.

Ohw, helping Merfolk out seems to be a great opportunity, didn't I hear stories about htem of juring seamen with the prmoise of love and lust? If I could learn that from them, I'd be okay. And just because they're not diamonds doesn't mean Pearls aren't a girls second-best friends.

I will help you Hulgyr!

Who else is with us!

Charlarn looks at the pearls with interest. But the writing isn't going to do itself. He sighs and dips his quill in the inkpot.

OOC: I'd love to start a new adventure, but I'm going to be at GenCon next week. Starting an adventure and then going away for a week wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

Ducane Grimm, Human Fighter 1

A short human who probably would be better described as being a boy rather than a man enters the Inn. He is dressed in black and loose clothing and wears a long and black vest over his clothes. He has a somewhat long and black hair. He is carrying a curved bastad sword on his back.

"Ducane Grimm, an adventurer.", he announces. After hearing about the new job, he immediately speaks up: "I would be interested in helping the Merfolk, and my brother Zack should be arriving shortly here too."
