OOC: Someone, would you prefer just 1st level characters, or could Nezrak (3rd level Wizard) join? He might be a bit too powerful though, depending on the adventure.

ooc: Xael, I wouldn´t mind more players, but I think designing and balancing encounters for a 3rd level wizard and a bunch of 1st levels would be difficult (unless I were Tolkien, and I´m not :P) Sorry.

I am interested in your offer, ser. However, I am unfamiliar with the McGlynns and their fate. If you would, ser, please enlighten me. I would not take this job without knowing more about the family whom you serve.

The gnome shrugs, or would do so if his stiffness allowed. "It is not a secret. However, I do not know all the details, since they are not of my concern. McGlynn was murdered, and those responsible were hanged some months ago. What is left of the family are farmers and live near Fallon."

Wilhelm nods. Thank you for indulging me, Master Burroneous.

The young man leaves his seat and kneels before the Gnome (so that he wouldn't have to look down) with all the grace of a Knight. I am Wilhelm Irontower, priest of Ayratha and scion of the House of Irontower. If you would have me on this mission of investigation, I would be honored.

Ah, looking for long lost ships, possibly fighting swashbucklers and a true rescue mission too. I will go, Master Nemko.

I only succeeded at the last Roll

But how am I to impress my lady or her father with only 5% of the value? Surely you can raise the price, so that I can be with my beloved again.

Nemko´s face remain unchanged, except for a blink or two. "This is a minor point, but anyway. I think 5% is a just reward. What do you have in mind?"

Well, I'm not very experienced in allt his, but seeing you wo'nt get back your ship at all, 25% seems much better, that way you still have a large bonus without doing the work.

Roddick looks a bit ashamed after thsi, he's usually not one to haggle, prefering friendlier conversation. He quickly looks at his companions.

Don't you think that too?

Not really knowing what was appropriate, Eroin nods her assent. Best not to divide the group, she believes. Now that a position has been presented, I'll support it.

Nemko shifts uncomfortably in his chair for the first time since he started to speak. Apparently, he assumed an easy deal. "25% is way too much. I am not accepting more than 10%, an already large quantity if the cargo is intact, and more fitting with the local customs and laws." (Roddick knows that this last part, at least, is true to a certain degree. Someone more knowledgeable about maritime laws could clarify that point)

Hulgyr shoulders into the conversation and starts with a slighly agitated tone "We find your cargo an give it back to you. I think anything more than half is fair for you, because we do all your work. You can just sit here an wait till be bring it to you, wile we do work."
He crosses his arms and nods.

The gnome shakes his head. "That is unnaceptable. 10% is my last word. If we don´agree, I apologize for wasting your time. I am sure I can find others that could do the job."

"However, for those that agree, I have ready a contract."

He produces three sheets of parchment from the folder. One is a detailed contract, that Nemko fills with the remaining details. Other shows a well-drawn picture of the ship, and the last one is a list with the names of the ship´s crew.
