"I'm sure he is." Vanitri says.

Vanitri looks over to his other companions "Ironwolf, Ros, Michael, you think we have time to help this little girl find a home and mentor?"

occ: I'll be out of town till Sunday. I'll try to pop in when I can, but might not be back on till Monday. If the inn clears before Eternity joins a party, she'll just have to wait for the next one to come along, no worries.

Off to Grandmother's house...

Theo raises big blue eyes to Wilhelm, Jaan, and Kish after he waits for them to eat their cookie.
"Can we please go now? I pwomised Gwamma I'd be back befow dinnew."
He says the same thing to Setis, but does not raise his eyes so much. Setis is, after all, shorter than the others.

He then takes the hands or sleeves of all those willing to be taken and leads them to http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=158513.

Michael considers the matter for a moment as he polishes around an interesting blue highlight on his stone.

"There are those of my folk who would give her a loving home and those of my faith who would teach her what she is able to learn."

He buffs at one of the few rough spots left on the stone with the heel of his hand.

"And there are others who have asked similar questions. It seems this is a time of growing and learning."

Michael changes hands and buffs at the rock with the heel of his other hand.
"I will offer what I can, but others have asked first and must be considered first."
He catches the girls eye and looks very seriously at her.
"You are young to learn this, and I am grieved to teach it you, but you will learn. Nice is different than good."

"Yes, I found that out...the people with the evil Scun seemed nice, like the girl named Tandi, but they were really evil even though they were nice...It makes me scared and it's hard to trust people."

"And when my mother made me stand in a corner, I thought she was not nice, but she was really good."

Michael continues to polish the stone in his hands.

"Strange, isn't it?"

He blows on the stone for a moment, polishes it on his sleeve, examines it, and goes back to buffing on the heel of his hand.

"My name is Michael, young lady. What shall I call you?"

"That's true," Laynie agrees, "My Mommy sometimes wasn't always nice, but she was trying to help...You can call me Laynie cuz that's my name."

"I'm sure that those with Scun aren't all bad, but I don't know them so I can't say." Vanitri says. "And while nice and good aren't always the same, you can't let fear get in the way of trust. You just have to give it out a little bit at a time."

The stone rasps over the heel of Michael's hand, grinding away in a figure-eight.
"Hello, Laynie. There is a chair here, and no doubt if you sat there, Joe would see a mug of cocoa gets set in front of it -- the which is warming in this damp weather."

He twists the stone between his thick fingers.
"Why do you want a teacher, Laynie?"
