City side-trek ideas

So I've finally got my heroes in the city and I need to cook up some side-treks for them til the main plot line kicks in at a later level. Can you suggest any ideas to keep them busy?

Thanks in advance.

Just download the free PDF: d100-city-blocks. It's an Enworld community work. Even if it doesn't provide you with what you need, it's FREE. Just see link in my sig. below.

I'm afraid the link in your sig leads to one of the many 404 errors around these parts.

For city ideas you might try Foul Locales: Urban Blight and FL: Behind the Gates.

One of the adventurers -- the least reliable one, the one who may have led everyone on wild goose chases before -- sees an attractive member of their preferred gender yanked off a quiet street and shoved into the back of a carriage. No one else is around, and the player has to figure out where the carriage is going and yet get the rest of the party together to mount a rescue ... assuming that the event really happened like they think it did. Or at all.

Both of these are good products that are easy to use.

I was really hoping that MEG would pull out a Foul Locales: Arcana Evolved series of encounters but alas, that didn't turn up.

Thanks Phil and Joe. Yeah, it's a shame FL: Arcana didn't turn into reality. I have a page of notes made when I was told about the project. But that was at least a year ago. Heck, it's probably been close to that long since I spoke with Doug or Hal. I'm still in touch with then-Foul Locales head Charles Plemons and would love to put out another book of locales (generic or whatever--any publishers listening? ;)).

More info...

Well, without giving too much away (my players are likely perusing these boards), I can say it's a medium-sized city with a predominant mix of humans with elves, gnomes, halflings, and dwarves thrown in for good measure. Furthermore, it's a city located in Greyhawk, one ruled by a feudal monarchy, and it's currently being beseiged with refugees from another destroyed kingdom.
