Clarification on acronyms and random Qs

I didn't want to bump up the super old thread, but it's here

http://www.enworld.org/forum/pathfinder-rpg-discussion/276791-optimizing-human-archer-build.html

And I was looking at it, and wondering what "WT" was in the bonus to attack and damage that he lists. Also I think at level 5 it should be +8/+8 for to hit? I just ask because I'm picking some things out of this for a character and wondering on the math.

"Fighter 5: (BAB +5, WF +1, PB +1, Dex +4, RS -2, DA -2, WT +1) = +9/+9 to hit"

Also at level 6 (and after that) he has 3 attacks. I can see

"Fighter 6: (BAB +6/+1, WF +1, PB +1, Dex +4, RS -2, DA -2, WT +1) = +10[x2]/+10/+5 to hit"

I bolded the numbers for effect.

The x2 is from Many Shot, and the second +10 attack is from Rapid shot, but where does the third one from from? Any input is appreciated.

At 6th level he gets a second attack. The chart here might help:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter

WT = Weapon Training. It's the fighter class ability.

Characters with a BAB of +6 gain a second attack at -5 (so at +1) and then add all the regular bonuses to hit. The +5 attack is that second attack

I don't know why the to hit numbers seem to be one point higher than they should be.

Thank you for the help guys. I also have another question(well, maybe more than 1).

For starting starters, assuming a 25 point buy (his is high fantasy I assume, I'm going off of epic, 25 point)

20 (-17) str (presumably 18+2 from race bonus)
17 (-13) dex
12 (-2) con
7 (+4) wis
7 (+4) int
7 (+4) cha

That is only 20 points. Would you guys recommend anything as far as further stats? Maybe the int for skills, or some more con.

Also, I was looking at the setup he posted, and I was wondering why he is putting points into dex at 4/8/12? I know some feats require dex, but are there any that require more than 17 that are relevant here? Since the layout uses a comp bow it goes off of strength and not dex.

Thanks

Why would you want 7 in Int, Wis, and Cha? Use those 5 points for 10 Int, 8 Wis, and 8 Cha. In my opinion, there's a minimum of how smart characters should be overall, just because you don't NEED the stats doesn't mean you shouldn't have them anyway.

If you absolutely HAVE to optimize, put the points in Con, then Int if there are any left. Hit points are often more important in the long run that to-hit bonus from Dex; I'd trade a 5% chance to hit for +1 hit point per level any day, but maybe that's just me. You never know when a crazy sorcerer's going to fling a Fireball your way, and those hit points can mean the difference between life and death.

Stats of 7 in INT, WIS and CHA should mean you are a pretty unpleasant, short attention span, borderline retard (I don't mean this in an offensive way, I'm trying to describe someone with such low reasoning power or inability to grasp simple concepts that they would require considerable educational support in the school system), who likely has poor impulse control and potentially a lot of other 'issues'.

First question: unless he's some sort of idiot savant, then how has he 'trained' long enough to be so good? No way is he going to have the dedication required to put in the hours.

Second question: given all of the problems a person like this would have, as an adventurer would you trust him to be in the same party?

Want to sneak in somewhere? He might be 'nimble' but who's to say he doesn't get distracted by something shiny en route?

Need to negotiate? Better detail one of the other PCs to take him to the ice cream shop while you do it, because with that CHA if he doesn't drool all over the person you are talking to, he's likely to call his mother something unpleasant or generally be an obnoxious pain in the butt.

I don't have a problem with people making PCs that are good at what they do, but this level of 'optimisation' would have EGG spinning in his grave. If I were a player and someone showed up with a character like this, I'd find another game. If I was a GM, if I couldn't refuse to let you play, I'd throw impartiality out the window and make sure every Will save effect targetted you, monsters didn't randomly roll for target etc etc .

Come back with a proper PC next time...

No need to lecture people about such things, really.
For example, Intelligence of 3 is sufficient for an animal to set an ambush.

In the end, this is between him and his GM.

Ruemere

PS. Personally, I did not mind racist nazi black dwarf percussionist [1] in my party, and so, despite some obnoxious traits, he contributed to the game a lot.

[1] Scarred Lands. Chardun (race of rather devout militaristic dwarves). Monk. Perform (Percussion).

Just remember, if there are to be any arguing, pleas take any nasy comments to 'the fray' thread so all of us there can join one side or the other.

But really, some builds are a bit too far, IMHO. the build first mentioned I would way would be a cross between an ogre and 'Grackle' in cottley's tomb of horrors thread.

Look up the thread if you want to see a well played near retarded PC. It is vedry well done.

the nazi dwarf thing would be over the top to me. I would have said no.
