Heh. Well, thank the gods someone's memory is pretty much intact at the moment. Like mine wasn't, for instance. :D

It cuts to the heart of a significant change from 3e to 4e, so I'd say it is. Messily, sure. With a flurry of misses, even. But yes, the 4e relevance is there.


edit --- though, given that you're the one who started the thread. . . fair enough! I kinda forgot that bit, too. :)

Uh, I like that. Shadow Walk is a so much more flavourful way to travel, than "zap-I'm-here". Teleporting has its place, but I'd like to see Shadow Walk earlier (i.e. mid-levels, like teleport now) and teleport a bit higher (like the wizardly plane shift, probably including the option to traverse planes).
