Ugh! No psionics in my core rules please. I detest psionics.
I prefer the normal core classes, yet get rid of the monk and sorcerer, and give the bard access to any arcane spell. There is no reason a bard should not have been able to learn how to cast a fireball.
If anything, I would add some of the AE/AU classes.
If only I could figure out a way to replace Fighter for half of Hobgoblins' Favored Gestalt-- then the four main martial humanoids wouldn't have a single class in common.
I'd find a way to combine wizard and sorcerer into one. I don't like the artificial distinction bbetwewen them and I'm not a fan of Vancian "fir'n'forget" magic anyways.
But for my game I'd go with either:
Warrior
Expert
Divine Spellcaster
Arcane Spellcaster
I can't believe how well the Swashbuckler is doing. I want a lightly-armored Dex-oriented class as much as anybody, but that thing's a horridly-designed PoS. The Scout is more of a swashbuckler than the Swashbuckler IMO.
I only voted for 5. The Fighter, Rogue, Spirit Shaman, Warlock and Psion.
Of course, I would give the Fighter more options besides the fact he gets a bunch of Feats (most of which more or less suck ass anyway, unless you're going for specific builds). Other than that, everything else could stay in as-is.
