Classic DND Module Series for 4e

After receiving, and devouring, my Village of Hommlet 4e last night I had a thought: I'd love a Classic DND Modules series from WotC.

Essentially edition updates of classic modules done in a very similar style to Village of Hommlet 4e. I know Against the Giants is also being released - it is more of the supermodule.

For the series I would want:

- Softcover
- Mono insert reusing some of the classic art
- One colour poster map
- Around the €10 mark; I'm sure that is feasible.

Would you like to see this series happen?

If so what modules would you like to see redone?

Quick list from the top of my head:

U1-3 The Sinister secret of Saltmarsh and it's sequels, released as separate modules.
W4 Lost temple of Tharizdun.

I would love to see this. There are many folks who never got to experience the classic modules, or who may want to play them again using today's rules.

Make it so!

I knew I wasn't alone. lol, I wish i had the power... :D

It would be great to DM some of the classics that I missed. I could always convert though, but it can be a lot of time - that I dont have.

Some would convert better than others. Most conversions would require alterations of the standard rules in order to maintain the spirit and character of the originals. I don't see that realistically happening.
A Tomb of Horrors without deathtraps is like a monster without teeth or claws-not at all scary.

4e is exception based so "exception away" I say. I would like the flavour kept, but I'd still like them to be playable by standard players. I get the impression is was mostly elite players that survive for long in the ToH...

Nah. No elite players needed, just experienced, cautious, and most of all-lucky.;)

Aside from the original Dragonlance series (c'mon, they've been updated to every new system since 1E, continue the trend!)

Dwellers of the Forbidden City
The Saltmarsh Series (for the great story alone.)
Isle of the Ape (because I want them to release a colossal ape mini!)

And of course, Die, Vecna, Die!
