Hi,

This has always been a hot topic for discussion with my group:

If a monster has a primary attack of 2 claws will it make two attacks when doing and Attack of Opportunity?

No, just one. An AoO is always just one attack. The same goes for when you do a move-and-attack action.

Some monsters with multiple attacks get a version of combat reflexes that allow them to make more than one attack of opportunity in a round, but still only one per opportunity/target (e.g. hydra).

Thank you. I thought that if the creature had more than one attack, as in "2 claw, bite" it could use the 2 claw after a move.

My players are going to love you :)

Note that some creatures (especially tiny birds) have an attack of "claws +5 melee" or something; for them, a single attack consists of using both claws. This is different from eagles (for example) whose attacks are "2 claws +3 melee." A hawk can attack with both claws after moving, but an eagle can only attack with one; both attacks are resolved by a single die roll.
