Claws and druids

I was reading Claws of Retribution, and it says I can make a melee basic attack as an opp attack. What is the druids basic attack while in wildshape? The wildshape power says you drop anything you are holding, so it can't be a weapon.

Did I miss something in the reading of wildshape?

Nope, but you missed something on the next page. Grasping Claws and Savage Rend both say they can be used as a melee basic attack.

So a druid in wildshape needs one of those powers to use a "basic melee attack" in wildshape?

That is why druids get a few extra powers IIRC.

What happens when you don't have those two powers? The other beast form power can't be used in an opportunity attack.

If you don't have one of those two powers, you'll have to fall back on the unarmed basic attack: Str based, no proficiency bonus, 1d4 damage.

Unarmed basic doesn't have the beast keyword, therefore you can't use it whilst wild shaped. Multiclass druids run into this.
