Claws and druids

If you're a druid who only has Pounce, then you're not a beast-form based druid, and you're not in Beast Form that often. So the situation comes up rather rarely.

LOL, an irritated one that warned the player this would happen. :p ;) Especially, if it was part of some multi-class cheese.

I don't get this response. You would deny a player the use of a basic melee attack simply because, being printed prior to the Druid class, doesn't have the Beast keyword... and this somehow negates some form of cheese?

What overpowered crazyness is created by allowing a Druid in beast form to retain thier normal melee basic attack?

... Oh, maybe its if said druid grabs Tiger Claw Gauntlets and can... er... well, like DracoSuave says, this would come up so rarely its barely worth bothering with.

I'm glad you don't get my response. :) What I was refering to was a certain type of player that tells the DM - "Oh I got this uber build idea." and when he shows it to you - you point out some basic problems with it. IE in the case above some guy wants to muti-class into Druid and take a beast power with no melee abilities. So you point out that character doesn't have a basic attack in while in beast form with that build and the player just blows it off saying that'll never happen. Then, of course, it does happen and he whines at you. :hmm:
