D&D (2024) Cleave with polearm master is awesome

It gets especially hilarious when multiple enemies bunch up and move into range at the same time. It's fun. I can see a point that its a one at a time thing but at our table if they move up together, they can die together

Polearm master lets you reaction attack an enemy that moves into range. Weapon mastery cleave lets you roll to hit a 2nd target if you hit the original target and the second target is 5ft from your original target. If you have a dm that pushes up a couple of enemies to fight you at the same time you could reaction attack hit two targets. If they move one at a time and attack, then no.

Both.

Though the 2024 Cleave is much easier to get and trigger.

Spear's have sap. Halberd's have cleave.

This IS something that works with the playtest version of the Halberd. But we have no reason to know if it will be true in the 2024 PHB. It might be true. IDK, sounds fun in the odd corner-case where it occurs.

That or you attach an axe blade to one end and spear with the other.
