Cleric PrC with full spell progression>

If he's a cleric of a weather or destruction related deity, you could look at the Stormlord PrC.

It was originally created for clerics of Talos in the Forgotten Realms but is easily adapted to any Storm oriented deity. You can find it on p. 65 of Complete Divine.

The radiant servant of pelor (clearly unsuitable to your needs) gives up one step of HD and gains a ton of crap (and even keeps the turn undead ability), which makes it top the list of "broken" stuff often posted about on this forum.

Only because most people aren't familiar with the abusability of Dweomerkeeper. :p

If you want full casting, I second Caliban's suggestion of Divine Oracle. Contemplative isn't so bad, though, IMHO, as long as you pick decent bonus domains.

Since my main goal is getting that 'next level of spells' as soon as possible, I may end up with Contemplative and just rely on Divine Power to get the BAB where I need it for combat. It's just at these levels, that round of buffing starts to become infeasible.
In my live game (around 14th level on average), the cleric there has a martial bent and puts Quickened Divine Power to good use. IIRC that uses up a 5th level slot, so it depends on whether the opportunity cost is acceptable to you.

Divine Power is a 4th level spell, so a Quickened Divine Power would be an 8th level spell lsot.

Perhaps you mean Quickened Divine Favor? That would be a 5th level spell slot for +3 to hit and damage.

That'd be it.... No doubt he will use up an 8th level slot when that becomes available to him... :)
